How Much Do We Like It Here?
When I came to Lanlogic in 1999, I had three requirements for all job opportunities that I was considering at the time:

1. Ability to do "cool" work.
2. Make good money.
3. Have fun doing it!

I can say that Lanlogic met all of these criteria and then some....

Cool work: Varied network scenarios:
Everything from local small single server environments to national and international WANs with multiple sites and complex heterogeneous network infrastructures. At Lanlogic, you will be exposed to a wide variety of network technologies and unique solutions that fit unique scenarios. No single network experience can match this rich exposure to new, cutting edge technology in the SMB space. Building servers, planning office relocation projects, and participating in network upgrades to the latest in network technology... these are mere samples of the type of work you will have the opportunity to enjoy at Lanlogic.

Making good money: Lanlogic is very competitive in this arena and the performance bonus program allows for extra income when needed. The other benefits sure make life a little easier, such as getting compensated auto mileage...this really makes a difference when gas prices shoot up, like they have recently. Family coverage on health and dental has saved me thousands of dollars in medical and dental bills. Professional Development allows for time to study/learn new technologies and Lanlogic even paid for my exam fees for certifications.

Having Fun Doing it: The Team.... hands down it is the number one asset of the company. The team of knowledgeable, professional, friendly co-workers makes the whole day worth it! We help each other with technical issues, client management problems, project planning, purchasing, billing, etc. We play golf with each other, we go to concerts together, we play poker together, we battle each other on the latest video games, we have swim parties and barbeques at our houses. We celebrate Christmas together, we celebrate each other on our birthdays, we have barbecues with our clients, we have FUN!

And more: Independence and accountability are core values that are a refreshing change from other corporate environments. All engineers are considered professionals and are respected as such. No micro-management, no knowledge hogs! The office environment is clean and inviting, the Walls of Fame show our engineers' accomplishments and client feedback which is outstanding! Meetings are short and to the point. One example is our weekly staff meeting where we get together to review last week's work, new requests for assistance and pass important company news.

Our stable, common sense business approach means that we are going to be around as long as possible. When the bubble burst in 1999 we were one of the few high tech companies HIRING and not FIRING at that time... a statement to our viability as a company.

This is just a sample of the reasons why I am so glad that I was given an opportunity to work for Lanlogic. I have never regretted my decision to come here. I highly recommend anyone who identifies with the above descriptions to apply to Lanlogic. I sure am glad that I did!
