Becoming a Market Force
Business is good! You're past the early growing pains.
You are becoming a recognized force in your market. To support
IT services for up to 250 people employed in one or more locations,
you'll need on-site servers and operations, remote connections
to your various offices, and a trusted source of consulting
and support to help your in-house IT staff. Our larger clients
use on-site Microsoft Windows Server 2003 for Microsoft Active Directory. You'll also want a Microsoft
Exchange Server for e-mail and calendaring, and a file server
for your company documents. Depending on your business, you
may also want one or more application servers for accounting,
inventory control, and other services.
By the time it called Lanlogic, Environmental and Occupational Resource Management (EORM) was planning for rapid growth, but had a support infrastructure that had grown in piecemeal fashion. This environmental, health and safety management and technical consulting firm had a Silicon Valley headquarters linked to branches in Portland, Houston, Phoenix, and Austin via legacy, 56-kilobit Frame Relay circuits, and all locations were routed back to the Silicon Valley office for Internet connections. The whole infrastructure (incorporating 100 desktop users) was supported by a help desk administrator.
After a full IT audit and
set of recommendations, Lanlogic delivered.
- Transformed the EORM
network into a true wide-area network (WAN) with high-speed
DSL connections
- Implemented virtual
private networking (VPN), full internet access and
security at each branch office
- Centralized the
company’s e-mail and document sharing on upgraded
Microsoft Exchange servers at strategic office locations
- Upgraded to a private MPLS network
-
Centralized PC
anti-virus updates
-
Supervised
deployment of a company intranet site that facilitated
Web-based access to resources for mobile consultants.
- Hosted the company's website
- Developed and implemented standard IT
procedures for new offices and additional employee growth.
Today, Lanlogic serves as a complete
outsourced solution for EORM's IT infrastructure, providing network planning, management, and support functions for more than 140 desktop users and 25 servers at 12 locations for this nationwide firm.
Lanlogic offers an unbiased and expert
opinion about the state of your network and recommends how to improve
performance, efficiency, security, and scale for your next growth
phase. We then can design, implement, and support the new infrastructure.
We'll
meet your budget, execute major transitions after hours to minimize
business disruptions, and conduct training on the new systems for
your users. One call is all it takes to get started.
